There is so much to do in in Italy you can spend months here and still not scratch the surface but if you never have been to Italy this was my 2021 itinerary and I loved every second of it but I like to hop around quickly. The blogs above quick helpful ideas about how you can spend  your days at each location but use all as a jumping off point then go dive into your own research if you would like more! 

Remember there is absolutely no wrong way to do Italy. You will be happy with whatever you choose. Please reach out with any questions I strongly recommend trains. They are easy fast comfortable and cheap. 

Fly into Venice (1-2 Days) Train to Cinque Terre (1-2 Days) Train to Florence and Tuscany (3  days) See wedding info for more detailed day by day itinerary. Train to Naples for ferry to Almalfi Coast (2- 3 Days) (Positanto and Capri) Train to Rome (1-2 Days) Fly home out of Rome or take a 70 dollar flight or train back to venice to fly round trip. 

I am going to be adding a southern Italy Itenirary as I learn more because we are planning on honeymooning in Southern Italy  so White Lotus Fans I will look for a Scicily addition. 

I know a ton of people are wanting to do a Greece and Italy Trip so I have a few ideas. 

You can start with coastal italy cities such as Almalfi coast (fly into naples ) or cinque terre (fly into venice ) or do this after the wedding in Tuscany but take a train from florence to Rome and fly from Rome straight to Santorini on a non stop. It is $61 dollars the flights out of Rome are always more direct and cheaper and you get to see Rome and have your Lizzie Mcguire Moment. 

After Santorni I would choose another island. Mykonos is what we did and the parties are fun but I think I would choose another like Paros. Both are a few hour ferry ride away from Santorini. 

Then back to Athens to fly home!
